ILLUSTRATOR // GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Leigh Wortley is a twenty-one year old Graphic Design student at Leeds College of Art who specialises in character development and illustration. Her work is distinctively playful, and yet mature- with a sophisticated thought process which is evident through the narrative of her design process and crisp project outcomes. Not only does Leigh posses a fantastical and imaginative style of design, but is also blessed with the perfect balance of working in both B&W and colour, each to an extremely high level, and always appropriate to the brief in question. From her online portfolio, the project we particularly liked was the Harry Potter book re-design, in which she designs both a box-set and the front covers of the books with a unique and refreshingly illustrative style (see image above).
